Virginia Freedom of Information Act 5 z.z-S7tt. Closed meetings authorized for certain limited purposes. A. Public bodies may hold closed meetings only for the following purposes: r. Discussion, consideration, or interviews of prospective candidates for emplolmenU assignment, appointment, promotion, performance, demotion, salaries, disciplining, or resignation of specific public officers, appointees, or employees of any public body; and evaluation ofperformance of departments or schools of public institutions ofhigher education where such evaluation will necessarily involve discussion of the performance of specific individuals.
