1. Special Exception Permit
Hold public hearing to consider the request of the City of Salem School Board,
property owner, for the issuance of a Special Exception Permit to allow a
primary/secondary educational facility on the property located at 1600 Carolyn
Road (Tax Map # 212-1-1). (As advertised in the March 7, and 14, 2012, editions of the Roanoke
Times, Recommend Approval, see page 1, Planning Commission minutes.) STAFF REPORT
2. Abstract of Votes
Receive Abstract of Votes cast at the March 6, 2012, Republican Primary Election.
3. Total Action Against Poverty
Receive request for renewal of lease on the old N & W Railway Passenger Station
for Head Start Program for period July 1, 2012, through June 30, 2015.
4. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards and commissions.
5. Closed Session
Hold a closed session pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711A (3) of the 1950
Code of Virginia, as amended, to discuss property the City may wish to sell.
