1. Budget Adoption
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance on first reading adopting the
budget for fiscal year 2010-2011. (Advertised in the May 20, 2010 issue of the
Salem Times-Register)
2. Tax Rates, Fiscal Year 2010-2011
Consider ordinance on first reading establishing tax rates for real
estate and personal property. (Effective July 1, 2009)
3. Personnel Pay Plan for Fiscal Year 2010-2011
Consider adopting Resolution 1160 establishing the Schematic List of Job
Classes and Pay Ranges for the ensuing fiscal year. (Effective July 1,
2010)
4. Power Cost Adjustment Factor
Consider adopting Resolution 1161 setting the Power Cost Adjustment
Factor for 2010-2011.
5. Health Plan
Receive report regarding renewal of health insurance with Anthem Blue
Cross/Blue Shield and allocation of costs.
6. Vacation of Easement
Consider vacation of abandoned easements for Tax Map # 142-1-1 at the
Lowe’s site.
7. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards and
commissions.
8. Closed Session
Consider request of City Manager to hold a closed session pursuant to
provisions of Section 2.2-3711 A (7) of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as
amended, for consultation with legal counsel.
