1. Roanoke Regional Partnership
Receive presentation from Beth Doughty, Executive Director,
Roanoke Regional Partnership, regarding the 2009 Annual
Report.
2. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance on first reading
rezoning the property of Valley Properties, LLC and L & M
Properties, LLC, property owners, for rezoning the
properties located at 250 & 316 Braxton Avenue and two
parcels in the 800 block of Harrison Avenue (Tax Map #s
73-3-1, 2, & 3, and 84-2-1) from RSF Residential Single
Family District to LM Light Manufacturing District.
(Recommend approval, see Page 1 of the Planning Commission minutes. Advertised in the
February 3, and 10, 2010 issues of the Roanoke Times.)

3. Taxicabs
Hold public hearing in accordance with Section 98-94 of THE
CODE OF THE CITY OF SALEM, VIRGINIA, and consider issuance
of Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity for the
next twelve (12) months, beginning April 1, 2010. (Date set
for public hearing at January 25, 2010 meeting. Advertised in the February 8, 2010
issue of the Roanoke Times.)
4. Vacation and Closure of Alley
Hold public hearing and consider Resolution 1153 appointing
viewers to vacate and close a certain remaining portion of
a 10 foot +/- alley located at the intersection of Braxton
Avenue across from Crystal Drive. (As advertised in the February 4,
and 11, 2010 issues of the Salem Times Register.)
5. Roanoke Area Criminal Justice Information Network (RACJIN)
Consider approval of the Memorandum of Understanding for
the Roanoke Area Criminal Justice Information Network
Agreement.

6. Olde Salem Days 2010
Consider Resolution 1154 closing Main Street on
September 11, 2010, for festivities.
7. March 22, 2010, Council Meeting and Work Session
Consider postponing the March 22, 2010, Council Meeting and
Work Session to Tuesday, March 23, 2010, due to the Andrew
Lewis presentation to the Governor in Richmond, Virginia.
8. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards
and commissions.
