AGENDA TOPICS
1. Amendment to Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the
properties of Allen C. Boley and Boley Properties LLC,
property owners, located at 115 and 123 Fort Lewis
Boulevard (Tax Map #s 137-4-9.3 and 137-4-9) from HBD
Highway Business District to RSF Residential Single Family
District. (Passed on first reading, April 27, 2009, meeting)
2. Amendment to City Code
Consider ordinance on second reading amending Chapter 98,
Division 4, Section 98-151 of THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SALEM, VIRGINIA, pertaining to taxicab rates. (Passed on
first reading, April 27, 2009, meeting)
3. Family Violence Fatality Team
Consider adoption of Resolution 1137 establishing a family
violence fatality review team in conjunction with other
localities in the Roanoke Valley.
4. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards
and commissions.
5. Closed Session
Consider request of City Manager to hold a closed session
pursuant to provisions of Section 2.2-3711 A (3) of the
1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, to discuss property the
City may wish to purchase.
Budget Work Session will be held at the conclusion of the meeting, and
continuing May 12, and 13, 2009 at 6:30p.m. in the City Manager’s
Conference Room if needed.
