1. Special Olympics Virginia Area 8
Consider request for donation ($264.25) equal to the amount
of admission tax paid in connection with the Salem After Five
event held August 22, 2008.
2. Sale of Property
Hold public hearing to consider the sale of City of Salem
real property designated as Tax Map # 127 – 3 – 1 in the City
of Salem located in the 1600-block of Longview Avenue.
(Advertised in the October 8, 2008, issue of the Roanoke
Times).
3. Amendment to Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the property of
Timothy R. & Susan C. Martin, property owners, located at 107
Preston Street (Tax Map #161-4-4) from HBD Highway Business
District to RSF Residential Single Family District. (Passed
on first reading at September 22, 2008, meeting)
4. Street Acceptance
Consider adoption of Resolution 1129 requesting the
Commonwealth Transportation Commissioner and the Commonwealth
Transportation Board to approve and accept certain new
streets for maintenance payments.
5. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards and
commissions.
