1. City of Salem Police Department
Receive presentation congratulating the Police Department on
receiving State re-accreditation.
2. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the property
located at 1400 block of West Riverside Drive (Tax Map # 178
– 3 – 7) from AG, Agricultural District, to RSF, Residential
Single Family District. (Passed on first reading at November 27, 2006,
meeting.)
3. Western Virginia Regional Jail Authority
Receive report and consider adopting Resolution 1087
authorizing and supporting the sale of bonds for the
construction of the Western Virginia Regional Jail.
(Audit-Finance)
4. Salem Band Boosters
Consider request for donation ($2,663.68) equal to the
amount of admissions tax paid in connection with the Drum
Corps International Summer Music Games.
5. 2007 Legislative Package
Consider adopting Resolution 1088 regarding Council’s
concerns of specific items that may come before the 2007
session of the Virginia General Assembly.
6. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards
and commissions.
