1. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the property of Heather N. Spangler,
property owner, located at 907 Tennessee Street (Tax Map # 185 -10-9) from HBD
Highway Business District to RSF Residential Single Family District. (Passed on first
reading at the June 26, 2006, meeting.)
2. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the property of the City of Salem,
property owner, being an approximate 5.5-acre parcel located at 1101 Texas Street
(P/O Tax Map # 148-1-2) from RSF Residential Single Family District and BCD
Business Commerce District to HBD Highway Business District with proffered condition.
(Passed on first reading at the June 26, 2006, meeting.)
3. Sale of Property
Hold public hearing to consider the sale of an approximate 2.5 acre tract located at
1101 Texas Street and being a portion of Tax Map 148-1-2.
4. Declaration of Local Emergency
Consider adopting Resolution 1083 reaffirming the declaration of local emergency
declared on June 27, 2006, in the City of Salem.
5. New Millennium Building Systems
Consider adopting Resolution 1084 endorsing and supporting the application of New
Millennium Building Systems for industrial access railroad track funds from the
Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Rail and Public Transportation.
6. Roanoke College-New Athletic Stadium
Consider setting bond for physical improvements for the Roanoke College -New Athletic
Stadium. (Audit-Finance Committee.)
