1. TAP Board
Receive update on TAP Board from Billye White.
2. Vacation of Alley
Consider ordinance on second reading permanently vacating Stewart Alley between South
Broad Street and White Oak Street. (Ordinance passed on first reading 4-24-06.)
3. Voting Rights Act
Hold public hearing to seek a declaration from the United States District Court for the District
of Columbia providing the City with an exemption (Bailout) from the special provisions of the
Voting Rights Act. (Advertised in the April 20 and 27, 2006, and May 4, 2006, Salem Times-Register.)
4. Wholesale Electric Power Contract
Select vender and approve contract for the purchase of wholesale electricity to the City of
Salem.
5. City Hall Design Contract
Consider contract with Arcadis for design of City Hall. (Audit-Finance Committee.)
6. Virginia Municipal League
Consider nominations for various VML Policy Committees for 2006.
7. 2006-2007 Budget
Begin work sessions for 2006-2007 budget. (Advertised in May 4, 2006, Salem Times-Register.)
