1. Roanoke Dazzle
Receive presentation from Dennis Robarge, President of the Roanoke Dazzle.
2. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Hold public hearing to consider the request of Sanders L. Lane, property owner, and Man
Li Yang, contract purchaser, for rezoning the property located at 114 Electric Road (Tax
Map Number 80-2-3) from TBD Transitional Business District and RSF Residential Single
Family District to TBD Transitional Business District. (Withdrawn by petitioners.)
3. Voting Precinct
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance with emergency provisions amending Chapter 26,
Article II, Section 26-38, of The Code of the City of Salem, Virginia, regarding Precinct A or
Conehurst Precinct. (Advertised in the January 12 and 19, 2006, issues of the Salem Times-Register.)
4. Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance
Consider ordinance on second reading rezoning the property of Charles B. and Judy S. Phillips
and Charles Gregory Phillips, property owners, located at 111 East Clay Street from RB
Residential Business District to TBD Transitional Business District. (Passed on first reading at the
January 9, 2006, meeting.)
5. Water and Sewage Disposal
Consider an ordinance on second reading amending Chapter 90, Article III, Division 4, Section
90-193, of The Code of the City of Salem, Virginia, pertaining to Prohibited Discharges
Generally. (Passed on first reading at the January 9, 2006, meeting.)
6. Taxicabs
Consider setting a public hearing in accordance with Section 98 -94 of The Code of the City of
Salem, Virginia, for issuance of Certificates of Public Convenience and Necessity for the next
12 months. (Suggest March 13, 2006.)
7. Boards and Commissions
Consider appointments to fill vacancies on various boards and commissions.
