1. Roanoke Valley Economic Development Partnership
Receive presentation from Phil Sparks, Executive Director, Roanoke Valley Economic
Development Partnership, regarding the 2004 Report of Economic Development Activity.
2. Appalachian Power Company
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance on first reading to extend the franchise agreement
between Appalachian Power Company, doing business as American Electric Power, and the
City of Salem. (Advertised in the January 20 and 27 issues of the Salem Times Register.)
3. Sale of City Property
Hold public hearing to consider the sale of an approximate 6.5-acre tract located off of Texas
Street, being a portion of Tax Map 148-1-2, in the City of Salem. (Advertised in the February 3,
2005, issue of the Salem Times Register.)
4. Real Estate Assessment
Consider ordinance on first reading providing for annual assessment of real property in the City
of Salem, Virginia.
5. Olde Salem Days
Consider Resolution 1048 closing Main Street on September 10, 2005, for festivities.
6. Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare
Consider request to approve Amended and Restated Bylaws. (Continued from December 13, 2004,
meeting.)

Consider approving addendum to contract with the Salem Avalanche.
