1. Interstate 81 Task Force
Receive presentation from Gerald Pace, Chairman of the Interstate 81 Task Force Committee,
regarding the Committee’s recommendations for improvements to Interstate 81.
2. Subdivision Ordinance
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance on first reading amending Chapter 78,
Subdivisions, of The Code of the City of Salem, Virginia. (Recommend approval, see Page 6,
Planning Commission minutes.)
3. Zoning Ordinance
Hold public hearing and consider ordinance on first reading amending Chapter 106, Zoning, of
The Code of the City of Salem, Virginia. (Recommend approval, see Page 6, Planning Commission
minutes.)
4. Appalachian Power Company
Consider ordinance on second reading to extend the franchise agreement between
Appalachian Power Company, doing business as American Electric Power, and the City of
Salem. (Passed on first reading at the February 14, 2005, meeting.)
5. Real Estate Assessment
Consider ordinance on second reading providing for annual assessment of real property in the
City of Salem, Virginia. (Passed on first reading at the February 14, 2005, meeting.)
6. Regional Jail
Consider Resolution 1049 Authorizing the submittal of an application for Regional Jail
reimbursement funding to the Commonwealth of Virginia, Board of Corrections.
